Tuesday, 9/23/08, Women’s Group meets at Scarbrough Office Designs (Directions: 3062 Crossroads Dr., Redding; taking Hwy. 44 east from Redding, take the Airport Road/Old Oregon Trail exit; turn left over Hwy. 44; turn right onto Old 44 Drive which is at the first stop sign you come to (in front of the Shell gas station); turn right onto Crossroads Dr.,near Snow's Rentals.)

Below is an update on our retreat location. We need a new vote (to the right on the sidebar) as the Ashland property did not work out. In addition, we are not adding Ft. Bragg as a possibility as a few of us have “carsick issues” on the road we have to take to get there. Keeping in mind price, distance, weather, and ability to find something fun to do (shopping, etc.), below are the new choices. I am putting a few comments before each one so you will have an idea of what it offers (and remember driving times are just close estimates).

CHOICE 1 - SAN BRUNO (SF Area):
This is a property near the SF International Airport, so it wouldn’t be too far to go into SF for half a day if we want to, and it’s near a mall called “The Shops at Tanforan” if we prefer to stay closer to the property.

CHOICE 2 - CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (SF East Bay Area):
This is a property a little further east from Walnut Creek, so it would be a little further to go into SF for half a day if we want to. It’s near the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton if we prefer to stay closer to the property.

CHOICE 3 – HALF MOON BAY (SF Southeast Bay Area):
This is a property a little southeast of the SF International Airport, so it wouldn’t be too far to go into SF for half a day if we want to, and it’s about ½ hour (approx) from a mall called “The Shops at Tanforan” if we prefer to stay closer to the property.

This property is located on the coast about halfway between Santa Cruz and Monterey. The closest activities and/or shopping would be in Monterey.
